ITINERARY

SACRED VALLEY AND MACHU PICCHU TOUR 

Day 01.- Sacred Valley Private Tour

The Sacred Valley and  Machu Picchu Tour take you to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile center whose main objective is to keep Incan textile art alive, and where you will see and feed the Andean camelids like llamas and alpacas.

Then we will continue towards the magnificent Sacred Valley of the Incas. In order to visit Pisac archaeological site and its market. There, you’ll be able to buy some souvenirs and learn about the local culture.

You can have lunch here or in Urubamba town(not included) and then enjoy a beautiful ride along the Sacred Valley to the next stop.
Ollantaytambo, An Inca fortress that was built in order to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of different tribes from the jungle lowlands.

After the visit, your guide will bring you to the station to take the train to Aguas Calientes, which crosses a unique landscape.

Once in Aguas Calientes, our expert local guide will be waiting for you. He will take you to your hotel and give you all the information you need to know before visiting Machu Picchu the next day.

Day 02.- Machu Picchu Private Tour

Today, at dawn, you begin your journey to Machu Picchu. We board the bus that will take us to the citadel of Machu Picchu (30 minutes’ drive approx.). Once there, We will show our entrance tickets at the gate and start the 2 hours guided tour of Machu Picchu. As you enter to the “Sanctuary”. Prepare to be awed by the imposing and skillful architecture.

Take a moment to quietly sit and listen to the wind… Your imagination will soar as you contemplate the history of Machu Picchu and its mysterious origins. Your expert local guide will explain all about the historical sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

During your visit to the citadel, you will pass by different buildings, temples, and palaces and you will be touched by a feeling of peace and rejuvenation.

After your guided visit of Machu Picchu, we board the bus to Aguas Calientes. Where you can have lunch before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo.

Note: It is very important to have your train tickets and Passport handy before boarding the train. The train ride from/to Ollantaytambo/Machupicchu is about 1hour and 40 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE
You must have the Partial tourist ticket to visit Pisac and Ollantaytambo. This ticket cost 70 soles per person and can be purchased at the archaeological sites.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Let us know about the tickets you want to purchase in order to visit the different attractions of Cusco region.

If you are staying in Cusco for multiple days and plan on doing lots of day trips to various ruins, buy a Boleto Turistico, it’ll save you money if you visit at least 3 sites. Some day trips will knock down a few bucks if you have it as you don’t have to pay for your entry fee.
