The Private Sacred Valley Tour is one of the most famous day trips in the whole region of Cusco. The Sacred Valley was an important area for the Inca civilization and served as a sacred, agricultural and political center back in time.
From start to end of the valley there are many Incan sites, and the Sacred Valley Tour covers three main Inca sites, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. This epic journey also enables travelers to enjoy the beautiful Andean scenery of the Sacred Valley.

You will learn more about the history of the Incas and also why the sacred valley was the heartland of their empire. In comparison to bus tours that typically take large groups and with little time see the visited sites, our Sacred Valley Private Tours leave with 2 or 8 members maximum. This will allow travelers to get the most of this tour and maximize their experience.

Most people prefer to visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas before they go to Machu Picchu. This will enable you to finish the sacred valley tour at Ollantaytambo and catch the train to Aguas Calientes. If you don’t take this option, we will make a stop in Chinchero and experience the textile demonstration on the way back to Cusco.

In the afternoon, the Sacred Valley Day Tour transportation drop you off at your hotel or downtown restaurants.

ITINERARY Private sacred valley tour

The Private Sacred Valley Tour begins at 7:30 am in Cusco hotels. You will then enjoy a dynamic guided excursion through the magnificent Sacred Valley of the Incas.

On the way to Pisac town, we will visit Awanacancha where you will learn about the differences between alpacas and llamas as well as other Andean animal species. We will also stop in Taray’s viewpoint and take pictures of the magnificent Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Later, visit Pisac a beautiful Inca archaeological complex, considered one of the largest agriculture terraces in the Incan empire. And, of course, our tour also includes the typical market of Pisac, where you can buy a wide variety of handicrafts. From here, we will enjoy a beautiful ride along the Sacred Valley to the next stop, Urubamba. Once there, you can enjoy a buffet lunch here (not included).

After a delicious lunch, we will continue our journey to the Incan village of Ollantaytambo. This archaeological site is also known as the last living Inca city of the Andean civilization. The ancient Inca site includes impressive Inca remains like the Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Moon and granaries on the mountainside connected by ancient pathways.
From here, we will head towards Chinchero, a typical weaving community with unique ancestral traditions and customs.

Late in the afternoon, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel or downtown restaurant.
